Loribuses were animals found in the Deepwoods. Like mimic-birds and lemkins like Tak-Tak, those creatures were able to repeat and mimic sounds, voices and words. They were, however, not intelligent enough to speak for themselves. Quint and Maris first mistook the Gloamglozer for a loribus. It is possible that Tak-Tak, who was described as being a kind of lemkin, but not a real one, is in fact a loribus, as those were never further developed either.
