Deathcoil was a male grass snake who was friends with Whipscale. He was also great enemies with Log-a-Log Big Club, because the snake kept painting himself like an adder and terrorizing passing travelers. After a particularly hard defeat, Deathcoil and Whipscale were sucked under a mountain river, through Bat Mountpit and into the Toadlands. He then helped in the capture of Log-a-Log and his companions Martin the Warrior, Young Dinny, and Gonff and threw them into the Screamhole. After that he is not mentioned, although he may have been eaten by Snakefish.
