Mr. Ratburnus is the teacher of Herodotus and other characters in Ancient Greece. He taught his class the Pythagorean Theorem on a stone tablet and told them after that that they would sit around for an hour and then eat lunch. Herodotus suggested that they learn history instead of sitting around and even went out to write the first history tablet. Mr. Ratburnus, impressed by the boy's work, declared that Herodotus would get an "Alpha Plus."
