G.I. Joe Spotlights is an upcoming series of one-shot comic books to be published by IDW Publishing. Each comic serves to focus on a particular character in the continuity established by IDW. The series will we be done with rotating creative teams. The first Spotlights comic is expected some time this summer of 2009. Confirmed characters who will receive their Spotlight book include Beach Head (by J.T. Krul and Klaus Scherwinski), Baroness (by Marc Andreyko and Ben Templesmith), Helix (by Brian Reed and Joe Suitor) and Snake-eyes (by none other than Larry Hama).

It seems now that many of the stories intended to take place in Spotlight issues were transferred over to the Origins series. Note, Helix is labeled a "special" not a Spotlight.
