- Gridlock is a situation where road congestion becomes so bad that traffic grinds to a complete halt for hours or days at a time, upsetting Commuters and Motorists, making some Motorists give up their hobby, and causing a drop in the GDP. Gridlock occurs when a nation's Car Usage exceeds 93%. Getting people to cut down on car usage is one of the easiest ways of alleviating the situation but enacting Satellite Road Pricing can also help fix all but the worst cases of gridlock too.
- Gridlock is a villain preventing commuters from learning about the fast and efficient rail service between downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach. Gridlock delights in the crowded freeways and dirty air which have frustrated commuters for years in Los Angeles and sabotages plans to tell people about the new RTD Metro Blue Line. He appears in the promotional Ninja Turtles video Operation Blue Line.
- When Prometheus tells Michael Ford that The Trust wants the President dead, Ford immediately heads for the White House to save him. Ford successfully fends off the Drudge forces, allowing the President to escape in the helicopter deemed Marine One.
- Gridlock is a Drag event featured in Need for Speed: World. It has five lanes and an excessive amount of traffic. The event was made available on July 22nd, 2013 as part of Need for Speed: World's Third Anniversary. It is also the only Drag event that can be played in Single Player mode.
- Gridlock is a puzzle adventure game for the Nintendo GT. It is developed by Popple Co.. In this game, Spaghetti has to save her little brother Noodle from Lord Gridlock.
- This map made a return in Gears of War 2 as part of the Flashback Map Pack. It is practically the same map but with a slight graphical update. The weapon layout is similar to the original design in Gears of War, but with the Mid Tower Sniper spawn pushed more out into the open, allowing players an easier shot on players picking up the weapon located in the tower. The frag grenades of Gears of War have also been replaced with an Ink Grenade and Boom Shield cycle, while the Hammerburst spawns (now a starting weapon in Gears of War 2) have been replaced with Boltok and Gorgon Pistol spawns.

Marther gets kidnapped by a couple who need a third person for the carpool lane who later request cash, ass or grass from her (and get two of three). The Doctor goes hopping from van to van to find her, meeting a lady who married a cat guy and had kittens, two lesbians in their own van, a British guy (!!!) a white guy and some other oddballs in their own vans before Marther and the otherwise-friendly kidnappers sing a song and almost get eaten by giant crabs living below the highway who like the smog (which didn't make a lot of sense
