- Decorations are structures in Tropico 3 and Tropico 4 that typically have no effect on the game beyond cosmetics. There are, however, three kinds of decorations which do have actual effects on the game. Along with basic miscellaneous decorations, some Tropico 4 DLC packs come with their own decorations that fit with the theme of the DLC.

- Decorations can be individually placed in each Dojo room. The amount of decorations that can be placed in each room is limited by the Decoration Capacity more information about room capacities in Organization Rooms. Interactive decorations include Trading Post, Bells, and Drums. Build Time for most of the decoration is 24 Hours (1 Day), the exceptions are the Pruned Bush (18 hours) and Small Topiary Bush (12 hours). The Rush Cost (in Platinum) varies by Clan Tier and it is reduced by the elapsed time. A 70% built decoration only needs 30% of the maximum platinum to be finished immediately.
