David "Dave" Trottier (June 25, 1906 in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada – November 13, 1956) was an Canadian player who starred in the 1928 Olympics and played in the National Hockey League. He won the Stanley Cup in 1935 with the Montreal Maroons. Trottier started out with the junior Toronto St. Michael's Majors of the Ontario Hockey Association in 1923-24 and 1924-25. He then joined the senior Toronto Varsity Grads, also of the Ontario Hockey Association. He helped them win the Allan Cup in 1926-27 and the gold medal in the 1928 Olympics.
