Viscount Sandon is a courtesy title used by the heir apparent (usually the eldest son) to the Earldom of Harrowby. Two holders of the title have been involved in the local government of London: * Dudley Francis Stuart Ryder (16 January 1831 – 26 March 1900), known as Viscount Sandon from 1847 to 1882. Was a member of the London School Board from 1870-72. * Dudley Ryder (11 October 1892 – 7 May 1987), known as Viscount Sandon from 1900 to 1956. Was a member of the London County Council from 1937 to 1940.
