STAT MedEvac is directed by a consortium of hospitals which include Altoona Regional Health System, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). STAT Medevac's base of operations is in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania at the Allegheny County Airport. STAT MedEvac primarily uses helicopters to perform its mission of transporting patients, and also operates a Beechcraft 100 King Air, a Learjet 35, and a Learjet 55 fixed wing aircraft. They have completed patient transports worldwide.
