| - __NOINDEX__ Gerry's is a New York-based boutique started by the owner, Gerry Myler in 1996, with its dual-gender flagship location in Chelsea, and the Men's Store in Greenwich Village, both in downtown Manhattan, New York. Myler began operating his boutique first at the Chelsea location. It wasn't until a few years later, he would open up his second location on the infamous Bleecker Street, in the West Village, due to the increasing popularity of the small boutique and the fashion that was being carried within. But, during the past couple of years, the Bleecker Street location, as well as some other small businesses couldn't compete with the sudden exposure of larger chain retailers opening in this neighborhood, such as Juicy Couture among others. Gerry's closed down and moved to its current location on Sixth Avenue in the heart of Greenwich Village, where there are more chances of being a staple in this part of town, as its flagship in Chelsea proves to be a dominate force there. This boutique has many brands to choose from, such as Hugo Boss red label, Original Penguin, Juicy Couture, C&C California, Diesel s.P.a, True Religion, among others. It is known to the frequent, regular clientele that Myler is not only the owner of the boutique, but is the buyer. Myler understands what his traditional customer would purchase, and does not include what his personal style is, which is why Gerry's is one of the few successful retailers along the Eight Avenue strip in Chelsea today.
