A Skitter Leaf is an enemy in Pikmin 2 for the Nintendo GameCube and New Play Control for the Wii. This enemy can't kill Pikmin in any way, it can just shake them off. When shaken off, Pikmin lose their flowers. This monster just looks like a leaf in the ground. Then when Olimar, Louie or President walks near it, it will spring up and run away. It runs way slower in water — it barely goes anywhere. When defeated the Pikmin carry the leaf part back to the onion for one Pikmin seed. The Hocotate Ship will give you one poko. This monster can be found in Perplexing Pool, and underground in many places. This monster does not have a family, and it was not in Pikmin. This monster has no relative; in fact this is a one of a kind monster.

  • The Skitter Leaf (ハンボ) is an enemy found in Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 3 that resembles a leaf. These creatures remain camouflaged on the ground until approached by Captains, at which time they attempt to flee with a cricket-like chirp. They are somewhat rare, usually located in very fresh places, such as near or in water or foliage, but not worth defeating or returning to the Onion/pod. This is because the leaf they leave upon death, while only requiring one Pikmin to carry, yields a measly one Pikmin seed/Poko.
  • The Skitter Leaf may look like a plant, but it's actually an insectoid relative of pond skaters. It's somewhat rare, but irrelevant towards putting in your Onion/pod, for they only give one Pikmin/Poko. If you approach them, they wake up from their camouflaged state, and escape from you. This enemy is sort of a terrestrial version of the Wogpole. Throwing a Pikmin on it will immediately kill it. This enemy cannot be petrified when it hides on the ground, only when its is up and active. There are rare occasions where one will duck right when it loses all its hp, thus dying right when you approach it.
