The men were under police surveillance at this time and upon seeing them leave, the two officers trailing them made assumptions that there was a drugs supplier at the cafe. Roy had discovered that this man had left his mobile phone behind and, being honourable, managed to trace him with the intention of returning the phone. However, when Roy and Ken Barlow met up with them for the handover, the two men clocked the police were onto them and swiftly did a runner - leaving a bewildered Roy and Ken to be arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs. It is possible that this character, played by Neil Bell is actually Billy Matheson, a January 2011 character, since Billy was also involved in criminal activities and was portrayed by the same actor.
