John Christopher Strong III is an actor, writer and producer who wrote two episodes of the 1975 Return to the Planet of the Apes cartoon series - "Lagoon of Peril" and "Invasion of the Underdwellers". He began his career as a TV actor in 1960, with appearances in Perry Mason and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, before fronting The John Strong Show (1971–72). As a screenwriter, he had written episodes of Scooby Doo, Where Are You! (1969, created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears) and All in the Family, and wrote and associate produced for the series Search (1972-73). After Return to the Planet of the Apes, Strong wrote for Hanna-Barbera's The All-New Super Friends Hour (featuring the voices of Norm Alden and William Woodson) and produced a string of movies during the 1980s, including The Earthling
