Tippett's final five races came in the 1952 season, when he finished 57th in the final points. Tippett never showed the flashes of potential he showed the year before, but never finished worse than 23rd during the year. His best effort was a 12th place effort at North Wilkesboro, a showing that would likely have been better if he had not broken a rear end gear late.
