The sounds of screeches echo through the clearing, bodies scattered on the ground, tossed away like leaves meant for kit games. The Glitches found us. And they're unhappy. Very unhappy. My Clanmates were falling around me, and there was nothing I could do to save them. I watched, frozen in horror, as the Glitches attacked them. I trembled, watching them fall with pained screams. I would have thought them dead, as for the first few heartbeats they lay still. But then the scene became more terrifying. I wondered if they would ever fall still. Could Winterpaw and Kat heal them? Eyes.

Their legs jerked out, their eyes glazed over. Shudders passed through their bodies as they thrashed and jerked around. I wondered if they would ever fall still. Could Winterpaw and Kat heal them? Stonestripe and RaggedOak were among the first to fall. I winced as their bodies fell to the ground with soft thumps. Wavepaw and Owlwater were fighting back to back, teeth bared as they fought against countless enemies. They whipped around, lashing out bravely. "Iceflower!" I heard Sundance shriek. "Look out!" I glanced up in time to see a cat from the Glitches - Tikre, I think, launching himself at me. I quickly ducked away, his claws grazing my ear. I lashed out, my claws striking the side of his head. I'm about to attack again, when another cat knocks me away from Tikre, slashing at my face. I let out a feeble cry as I aimed a final blow at the new cat. Stars exploded in front of my eyes and the world started to fade into darkness. The last thing I saw before the world went black? Eyes. Two unblinking amber eyes, glaring back at me.
