The Free Lutheran Association (or United Lovian Churches ULC) is a major governing body for Christian proposes in Lovia the FLA (or Church) which was formed back in 1902 by Hans Lankingburg, a German-Swedish immigrant. He was a radical right-wing Christian who regularly campaigned, passing out pamphlets and holding meetings, to "convert the race to one ultimate God!" (a quote by Hans in a 1920 meeting. Soon after some members started taking more agressive action, attacking non-Christians by buring mosques, temples and even attacking athesists. Let us not cast the first stone or last!" Soon after Paul stepped down and Jack Antonio, a Italian-Lovian, became leader of the church. In 1999, a scandal broke out in the church, after photos photos appeared of Jack attending Ku Klux Klan meetings in Newhaven. Jack denied it. He later moved to Waco, Texas where he was actually seen in a KKK uniform screaming "White Power" and burning crosses. Jack soon stepped down. In 2000 Pastor Robert Smith, currently in the Unified Lutheran Church, became the President of the church and in 2002 the FLA was invited to the Lovian Freethought Academy's annual debate -- That year it was "For his own good: Circumcision?" -- At that time the LFA chairman --was Willem Bartholomy-- said "He was the most freeminded FLA chairman ever." Robert attempted to reform the church, but was not successful and in 2003 he left the church disgusted, becoming a pastor for the Unifed Lutheran Church. The FLA "Congress"were unable to agree who should be the new President. After five years, in 2009, they elected Paul McCain's granddaughter Kelly McCain. At the age of 24, she was the youngest and only female FLA president. In May 2010 Hessel Doorian of the Iron Guard Party joined, but later denounced it. In 2010 half the church merged with the ULC, but the more radical members did not agree with this move and formed the True Lutheran Church of Lovia.
