| - Watson started his career as a youth at Glentoran, before moving to Ards where he spent three seasons, making his senior debut at the age of just 16. He then moved to Ballymena United, becoming one of Tommy Wright's first signings. Despite an injury-blighted spell, he made over 100 appearances for the Braidmen. He joined Crusaders in the summer of 2010. After a slow start, he forced his way into the first team, scoring his first goal in the Irish Cup against Nortel. He has since become a first team regular, and scored his first league goal for the club in a 5-0 demolition of North Belfast Derby rivals Cliftonville. His good form led to him being named as the Carling Player of the Month for April 2011 for the first time. He has also represented Northern Ireland at U17, U18, and U19 level. He has two boys with partner Andrea grant
