Harry Edward Kershaw (c.1864 - May 1928) was a local politician. Although resident in Sussex, he was involved in business and local government in the Shoreditch area of north London. He was the head of a company of French varnish manufacturers in Curtain Road, and was a member of both the local board of guardians and vestry. The first Mayor of Shoreditch in 1900, he was later a member of Egham Urban District Council, and he died suddenly at a council meeting in May 1928. His great grandson donated a scroll belonging to him to the borough [1] and [2].
