The 1963 Golden State 400 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) - Pacific Coast Late Model Series (now Camping World West Series) combination event held at Riverside International Raceway on November 3, 1963. It was the season finale for both series. Darel Dieringer grabbed the lead in the latter portions and held off Dave MacDonald by one lap for Dieringer's first career victory. Joe Weatherly finished 7th to claim the GN season championship while Ron Hornaday, Sr. showed in 10th to claim the PCLMS championship. Stats
