The Canyon of the Cave Men is a box canyon located in Lost Valley. It has only one narrow passageway that leads into and out of the canyon. High above the canyon, near the top of one of the cliffs, is a Pteranodon nesting site referred to as the Cave of the Flying Things. Lanok and his people have a small village within the canyon. For the most part, they are protected from large predators due to the canyon's natural shape, but after an encounter with a Tyrannosaurus rex, Turok recommends that the village leave the canyon and move to safer environs.
