This skin was previously exclusively made available through pre-ordering God of War III or the God of War III Ultimate Trilogy Edition. In North-America, the Forgotten Warrior skin could only be obtained by ordering from Gamecrazy. It was later on released for both the European and the North-American PSN on November 3rd, 2010. During production stages, the Warrior was referred to as, "The warrior with dreadlocks," because his hair was literally made up of dreadlocks. The team had ultimately scrapped the idea because the final image was not as brutal as expected.

  • They can only drop the armour and weapon pieces that they wear or wield. For example, a warrior wearing platelegs and wielding a battleaxe could only drop those two items. A warrior wearing a full helm, platebody, platelegs, and maul could drop all of those pieces of equipment. A common misconception is that Forgotten warriors will drop equipment lower than their own tier; however, they are not known to do this (for example, a warrior wearing tier 6+ equipment will NOT drop fractite (tier 5) equipment). The maximum amount of items a warrior can drop is 7 (weapon, shield, helm, boots, gauntlets, platelegs/skirts, and platebody).
  • Forgotten warriors are monsters found in Daemonheim. They attack exclusively with melee and come in a variety of combat levels with armour depending on their tier. They can drop any number of pieces of the equipment they are wearing, though it is possible (and usually uncommon) for them to drop none of their equipment at all. You are able to play as a Forgotten Warrior during the second Dungeoneering saga, Vengeance.
