HMS A13 was a British A class submarine built by Vickers, Barrow-in-Furness. She was laid down on 19 February 1903 and was commissioned on 22 June 1908. HMS A13 was the first British submarine to have a diesel engine but other than that, she had the same layout and design as her sister boats. The extra weight of the engine meant that the amount of fuel that could be carried was reduced. A13 was broken up in 1920.
