John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr. (November 25, 1960 – July 16, 1999), known in childhood as John-John and in adulthood as JFK Jr., was an American lawyer, journalist, socialite and publisher. He was the son of President John F. Kennedy. JFK Jr. founded the periodical George, whose February 1997 issue published the first printing of Harry Turtledove's short story "Elder Skelter". Kennedy died on July 16, 1999 when the plane he was flying crashed.
