Originally Task Force Coldfire was an idea which was put into action by Fleet Admiral Mollari and Jedi Knight Aaralyn Blackthorne to unite both the Jedi Order and the New Republic on a military front. When the Task Force was deployed in support of Operation: Alsakan to stop the Charon from destroying the Core World completely, the Task Force CO, Jedi Knight Aaralyn Blackthorne was captured by Sivter.
