Sei was a geisha who was treated in a disrespectful manner by him, and Kakita Mitsuo, a duelist of the Esteemed House of the Crane, championed her. Takuro's brothers were the first to fall under the Crane's blade but they left Mitsuo bleeding. Takuro then approached and grievously wounded Mitsuo, stabbing a knife in his stomach. Mitsuo endured the pain and killed the last ronin.
