abstract	86th Street is a local station on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 86th Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, it is served by the 1 train (all times), and by the 2 train (late nights). Typical of many local stations on this line, there is no crossover or crossunder. Northbound passengers must enter on the east side of Broadway, and southbound passengers must enter on the west side of Broadway. While the station has not been renovated, it features artwork installed in 1988 entitled Westside Views by Nitza Tufino. The artists are students of Community Board 7 and Grosvernor House. Scenes include the 72nd Street station, medians on Broadway, FDNY, kids at play, boats at sea, street vendors and a New York City Bus. A poem entitled West Side Views by student Pedro Pieti is also featured.
