Very little is known about the origin of Lord Phantom, because only his existence already is an absolute mystery to even omniscient beings like the Living Tribunal himself. Supposedly the last "survivor" of an ancient race that existed in the old universe, all that is known about he comes down to his name, Manner Sled, and the very little that he revealed about himself. Apparently, even Sled himself doesn't know how he came to exist, nor its purpose.King Ghost
Since the dawn of the universe, ancient legends were passed among civilizations. Among many languages, the legendary Ghost King became a being as feared as the Death himself. One who terrorized even Living Tribunal himself with his presence, the ghost of the universe, the spectrum of Creation. His fame reached legendary character, and with the many names that he has received among the millions of languages in the universe, one prevailed over the others: the Lord Phantom.
Revered and feared by many civilizations in all the Multiverse, it has become common belief that bizarre incidents were caused by him. A person lost in the middle of the forest, a shadow passing through the window, a shadow behind the door, a monster under the bed.
And among many who were before him, even beings like the Hulk, Thanos and Galactus trembled at the awful presence of Sled, a clear proof his immense power.

| - Transcendent Ghost Physiology: Sled's unique physiology allows him to be an immensely powerful spiritual being, able to manipulate all the forms of dark energy and spiritual powers. This includes the conventional ghost powers, such like intangibility and invisibility, but also gives him immense amounts of power, even physical abilities.
*Intangibility: Sled is able to enter a non-corporeal form, becoming immune to any physical damages. Even Thor's Mjölnir isn't able to hit Sled in this form. He can becomes intangible for an unlimited time period.
*Invisibility: As a ghost, Sled is able to become invisible for an unlimited time period. He can also becomes completely undetectable in this form, as even Wolverine, Hulk or the Ghost Rider weren't able to detect Sled.
*Instant Regeneration: Being a ghost, Lord Phantom can freely regenerate from any injuries and is completely immune to all diseases known. Even when his body is totally destroyed, he will easily regenerate.
*Death Transcendency: Sled is completely immune to any known means of death, being truly immortal. Even when totally destroyed, Sled is able to return few seconds later. Even beings like the Living Tribunal, Eternity, Oblivion, Galactus, Infinity, Thor and the Death herself wasn't able to remove this curse from Sled.
*Fear Inducement: Most powerful Sleds ability is that he is able to induce fear to any being before him. That is a so powerful ability that even the Living Tribunal had difficulty to stay next to Sled without trembling. In crossovers, Morpheus himself - the Sandman - trembled before the Lord Phantom. In another occasion, Lucifer Morningstar commented how much hard is to stay close of Sled without being completely dominated by the fear. Even beings like Galactus, Eternity, Odin and Death were forced to kneel before him immense fear inducement power. Even an enraged Hulk was easily dominated by the fear and forced to becomes Bruce again.
*Nether Manipulation: Despite being often considered "Death-Force" Nether is more than the source of what drains life away from living things, it is the destructive aspect of reality, the source and very concept of entropy and destruction, disasters and all degeneration in matter, energy and concepts. It is the power that makes possible and ensures severing the soul's connection to their mortal body, so they can pass onto the after life. It is also the power that summons and controls the souls of the deceased. Users of this power acknowledge that Nether exists in Elemental, Cosmic, and Spiritual forces. Nether exists in the cosmos as sort of a gateway between the land of the Living and the Dead, stretching out to anywhere where death has potential to occur.
*Death Force Manipulation: Sled is able to completely manipulate the Death Forces, even inducing the death to the living beings or instantly killing any people. This power is rarely used. He can also bring people from the Death realm back to life.
*Phantasm Manipulation: Being the most powerful of ghosts, Lord Phantom is able to manipulate and created as well as summon them to create their own personal army of ghosts.
*Astral Manipulation: Sled can create, manipulate, shape, transform, etc. astral energy, allowing them to travel to the astral plane and interact there, see spirits, making spirits visible to others, astral trapping and potentially harming the dead. He can also allow others temporarily to be able to astral project, block others from astral projecting, sending them back to their bodies if they had already projected.
*Ectoplasm Manipulation: Lord Phantom can create, shape and manipulate extra-planar energy called ectoplasm, which comes from the roots ektos meaning “outside” and plasma meaning “something formed or molded”, as such it can be understood as a variable-state form of matter-energy coming from planes beyond the physical. Its form can range from raw seething energy, a misty vapor, a viscous gelatin, a bundle of fine threads, a living membrane or a fine, fabric-like tissue, that can also be solidified and used for material purposes. Because of its unstable, esoteric properties, ectoplasm reacts to normal matter/energy in unusual and useful ways, including being able to ignore most of them. Some mediums secrete or emit ectoplasm in order to facilitate communication with ghosts. Coating spiritual entities in ectoplasm may assist them in interacting with the physical plane.
*Telekinesis: He can levitate and manipulate physical things with his mental power, even being able to lift immensely heavy objects. Although was never showed a limit for his telekinesis, Sled is easily able to lift more than 50 tons.
*Teleportation: Sled is able to teleport across intergalactic distances in attoseconds, as well as use this effectively in short distances.
*Possession: Sled can possess the body of mortal beings, but he rarely use this ability.
*Shapeshifting: Sled's shapeshifting abilities are incomparable. He can freely change his size, form and appearance. His real form is of a high, brawny faceless man without hair and with white skin, generally with more than six arms. He often use this ability to more easily scare his victims.
