  • George Bailey was awakened from his jetlagged slumber by a pounding on the door of his palatial Ritz suite, where all visiting professors of obscure esoteric topics are housed when they come to Paris. He was invited to give a lecture at the Sorbonne on Christmas symbolism, particularly regarding Santa Clause, aka Saint Nicolas. His research had unearthed some very controversial findings about the origins of Father Christmas, namely that he may have been an actual man, not just a work of fiction. So far his findings were limited to a few flimsy theories and a lot of coincidences, but with the right tweed jacket and enough grey hairs on his head, it was enough to get him on the university speaker’s circuit.
  • (We see Chester sitting in a comfy chair in some room as the tune "We Wish You A Merry Christmas plays.) Chester: (speaking calmly) Greetings, my friends, and welcome to a "Bummy Christmas Review." (Cut to title card with "Bummy Christmas Reviews", then back to Chester) This holiday season, the ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com team has decided to give me something very special for Christmas. A room! Very few people know this, but where I do my reviews is actually just a wall. One wall! The other three are missing! (calm again) But I digress. Today, we're going to look at a very special Christmas classic.
  • Gumdrop and Goober immediately exit the house and start on their journey to find Santa and bring the letter to him. After quite a while of searching, Gumdrop suddenly crosses paths with a group of alley cats who want to eat him for dinner. Gumdrop manages to avoid getting caught by the cats long enough until Goober sees him in trouble and charges in to rescue him. After the cats run off, Goober says he hears bells ringing in his head, and Gumdrop says he can hear them too. Looking in the sky, Gumdrop finds that the sound is coming from Santa's flying sleigh. Noticing that Santa is flying to the Middletown Orphanage, Goober and Gumdrop try to follow, but he leaves the orphanage just as they have caught up.
