Halicarnassus is currently undergoing a renaissance of sorts: the population has doubled in five years, making the city one of the largest in the Hellenic world. Much of the new population consist of migrants from all over the Antigonid Empire and beyond, with Syrians, Jews, Egyptians and Persians being present in large numbers creating the most diverse city on the Aegean.
