Alvis James Whitted (born September 4, 1974) is a former American football player who coaches wide receivers for the Colorado State Rams. He played two years as a wide receiver at Orange High School in Hillsborough, North Carolina and was also a standout in track and field and was state champion as a senior in the 100 and 200 meters. Whitted played his college football at North Carolina State University. He participated in the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials, where he finished sixth place in the 200 Meters, running against Michael Johnson and Carl Lewis. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he played until he was picked up by the Atlanta Falcons in 2002.
