| - Bellwood: where Ben, Gwen, and Kevin are fighting a Techadon Robot. They are pretty tough and when every one is destroyed, a new one is sent out and is suppose to be more powerful than the other. Ben is fighting this one as Humungosaur. Ben: I hate fighting Techadons. We got to take it down. Gwen try to slow it down. Gwen: Got it. Kevin! Smash off its head or something? Kevin: No problem. Kevin absorbs the pavement and gains a stone casing around his body. He goes in and starts pounding the robot in its chest but no luck. It slaps Kevin away and he is flung into the side of a building. Ben: Does anyone have a truck we can use to pound this guy? Ben's wishes get answered when a strange looking car comes out from the east and extends a bat shaped ram. The car rams into the Techadon Robot which smacks it into the wall. The car opens up to reveal Batman. Batman: Get down! He tosses a grenade at the Techadon which destroys it effortlessly. He gets out of his car and walks over to Ben. Ben: Batman, what are you doing here in Bellwood? I doubt you came here to hang out, right? Batman: No Ben I'm not. You're the reason I'm here in Bellwood. Your aliens or ones that look like them have been stealing equipment in Gotham City. Ben: What are you mean my aliens? I haven't been in Gotham since that run in with Two-Face. Thanks again by the way. Batman shows Ben some pictures of the aliens. There's Swampfire, Diamondhead, Rath, Brainstorm, and so many others. Gwen: Ben, look at them closer. The Ultimatrix symbol is gone and the eyes are red not green. Batman: What is that suppose to mean? Kevin: It means that it isn't Ben committing all those crimes Bats. It's Albedo. Batman: Who's Albedo? Ben: He's a Galvan who tried to take my first Omnitrix. He made a knock-off copy, but in order to use it, he had to look like me. Now he's trapped in my form and he's been trying to kill me as revenge. You know, the cliché villain thing. Batman: Right then. So how do we find this Albedo? Ben: With any luck he'll come to me. Cuz as I said, he wants to kill me. Batman: That'll take too long Ben. We need to find him now. He was breaking the law in my town and I want him stopped. Gwen: We can go see Grandpa Max. He has some equipment that might be able to track him. Ben: Good idea Gwen. Max and the Plumbers can help. Batman: Let's go. Kevin: Wait. Who said you're coming? I'm not the one for saying this, but Albedo is our problem. So this makes it Plumber business. Not some freak in a Halloween costume. Batman: He was breaking the law in my town Mr. Levin. So do I have to explain the philosophical implications or do I need to take you down and handle this myself? Ben: Let's lose the testosterone guys. We're all on the same team and I know from experience not to get on Batman's bad side. So we'll all go and I'll go with Batman. I loved riding in his Batmobile. So then Ben and Batman get in the Batmobile, while Gwen and Kevin get in his car. Kevin: Gwen I don't like having that pointy eared freak here. He's bossing everyone around and you know that gets on my nerves. Gwen: Calm down Kevin. Batman is only here because of the alien activity in his town. Once Albedo is captured, I doubt he would want to stay here any longer. Kevin: Good. The sooner the better. They've arrived ad Max's plumbing store now. The four heroes go in. Everyone in there can of course see Ben, but also the Batman. Man: Is that who I think it is? Woman: No way. Batman here in Bellwood. Man 2: This is awesome. Ben: You'll get use to that eventually I'm sure. Batman: No I won't. I don't do the job for attention Ben. I do it because it's right. Maybe you three will learn that some day. That makes Kevin even angrier, but Gwen calms him down a bit. However Ben then takes his friends to the back room. There's a secret panel that has a switch that then opens a secret elevator. They enter and it takes them to a secret lair underneath Max's store. Batman has to admire the grandeur of this base as well. Max: Oh Ben, there you are. How was your fight with the Techadon and who's your new friend? Ben: Grandpa Max, this is Batman. He came here to Bellwood because there's unregistered alien activity in his town. Max: What kind of activity? Ben: He claims they're aliens from the Ultimatrix grandpa. He even has pictures to prove it. Batman: However your granddaughter proved it isn't Ben by saying it's someone named Albedo. He's been stealing equipment from various laboratories in Gotham City and I want him stopped. Max: What's he stolen so far? Batman pulls out a flash drive and puts it in the computer to show Max what has been stolen. Max: These thefts aren't random are they? Batman: No. They may not seem like much on their own but when you bring them together, they create a power amplifier. Max: There's one component missing though. Batman: Yes and there isn't a lab in Gotham that could have such a device. Max: Yeah, but we do. Albedo will more than likely come here then. So we better be on our guard. An explosion in the building and Max looks on the monitors to see what is going on. They see Albedo in one of his alien forms. Ben: Looks like we don't have to wait anymore. We better stop him and then we can see why he's stealing the equipment. Batman: Let's go. The four of them venture through the base and can see the carnage. The Plumbers on the floors aren't dead, but they're beat pretty badly. Batman: This has gone too far. We have to find him and stop him at any cost. There is another explosion which makes them all turn to see Albedo as Diamondhead. Ben: Okay Albedo, what's your game? You've always tried to kill me and now you're stealing technology? What's your deal? Albedo doesn't say a word. All he does is attack Ben head on and Albedo then transforms into Four Arms. Batman tosses a batarang at Albedo but he catches it and crushes it. Gwen throws her mana blasts and Kevin absorbs the stone floor to create an armor casing around himself. Kevin throws a punch at Albedo but he grabs Kevin's fist and then tosses him like yesterday's trash. Batman has had some experience with fighting large opponents like Bane and Killer Croc, so he is going to use that to his advantage. Batman leaps into the air and uses his powerful legs to knee Albedo in the face. Batman then grabs Albedo's head and then slams it down to the ground. He manages to see something on Albedo's neck and it looks familiar. Albedo gets up and smacks Batman away. Ben comes in as Humungosaur now and tries to fight Albedo hand to hand. Although like the others, he just smacks Ben away as if he didn't want him. Ben: Something's not right. Albedo isn't in his usual chatty self. It's also as if we're just distractions to him. Batman: I've seen this before Ben. Stand back! Batman tosses a batarang at Albedo's neck which then shocks him, causes him to revert to his human form and he then passes out. Ben: Nice work but was that really necessary? Batman: It was Ben. Look on his neck. That's the reason he isn't as you say he's suppose to be. Kevin takes what looks like a mind control chip off of Albedo's neck. Kevin: Mind control chip. Very advanced, but it doesn't look alien. Batman: That's because it isn't alien Kevin. The chip was made by a man named Jervis Tetch or as he prefers to be called the Mad Hatter. Kevin: Mad Hatter? What kind of freaks to you face in your town Bats? Ben: I heard of him Kevin. When I was in Gotham City last time the Commissioner told me about him. He specializes in mind control right? Batman: Exactly Ben. The Mad Hatter might be in Bellwood. We need to find him. Kevin: Come on. How dangerous can a person be who calls himself the "Mad Hatter" be? The guy can't be a real threat. Batman: He's a psychotic Kevin. He's used his mind control chips ranging from robberies to murders. We need to stop him and I have a feeling your friend Albedo might have the answers we need. Ben: Okay then, so we question him when he comes to and we find this Mad Hatter guy and stop him. So then Batman picks up Albedo and then puts him in a chair and ties him down so he can't escape. He also begins to wake up. Albedo: Where am I? What is going on here? Ben: That's what we were hoping you'd tell us Albedo. Albedo: Ben Tennyson?! Why have you taken me against my will? Is not being trapped in your disgusting meat sack of a body punishment enough? Ben: Not as bad a punishment if you don't tell us what we need to know. Albedo: And who exactly is we, Ben Tennyson? Batman: That means me Albedo. Now talk. What did the Mad Hatter want with you? Why were you stealing all that equipment. Albedo: I have not the slightest idea of what you are talking about human. I don't recall any Mad Hatter. As for why I was in your city Batman, it was because I needed the equipment I needed to finally free myself of this human form. As for the Mad Hatter of you speak, I remember attempting to take a DNA synthesizer from one of your labs. I don't remember what happened after that and now I find myself here being interrogated by you. Kevin: You don't expect us to believe that do you? You got to know more than that. Batman: Unfortunately Kevin, I doubt he does. The Mad Hatter's technology is so advanced and complex that the victim doesn't even know what they're doing. Simply removing the chip isn't going to let us know what we want. Ben: So what do we do now? Batman: Not sure, but I have an idea. Listen Albedo, Ben told me about your situation. If you help us find the Mad Hatter, then I'll make sure you are freed of that human form and will get the first ship off Earth. Kevin: No way man! You can't trust him. He's tried to kill us so many times that I lost count. Batman: Yes but with him off Earth, it's on less criminal you'll have to deal with. Albedo: An interesting proposition Batman. Very well then, I shall help you in finding this Mad Hatter, but only if you keep your word and free me of this disgusting human form. Batman: I'm a man of my word Albedo. I'll help you in any way I can. Albedo: Very well. Let's proceed then, so you can untie me now. So then Batman does untie him and both he and Batman get to work right away. As they work, Ben and his friends speak alone. Kevin: I don't trust 'im. Ben: Who? Albedo or Batman? Kevin: Both. Ben: Why? Kevin: Because for one, the dude is in a really dumb mask, so we don't know who he is, he just came out of nowhere, but more importantly he's making us work with Albedo. Ben: Kevin I get it okay. I don't trust Albedo either, but I do trust Batman and he's right. If he can help get Albedo back to his alien form and off Earth, then that's one less bad guy after me. Kevin: Maybe, but I still don't like it. I'm out of here. Tell me when you guys find something. Kevin then leaves and Gwen can see both Albedo and Batman working. She decided to go over there. Gwen: Any luck finding the Mad Hatter? Batman: None I'm afraid. The Hatter is masking his trail very thoroughly. Albedo: We might be able to find him Gwen, if you let us work. Gwen simply has a spiteful look at Albedo but then asks Batman a question. Gwen: Batman? Do you mind if I ask you a personal question? Batman: If you must. Gwen: First Batman, I have to say is that I can tell from your distance that you don't trust us. Why? Batman: It's not that I don't trust you per say Gwen. It's that I don't trust your cousin or your boyfriend. Gwen: Why? Batman: After my first encounter with Ben, I looked into his career. As a child he was caught stealing from a warehouse along with Kevin. He was brainwashed by that criminal Sublimino into stealing equipment for him in order to make that machine that controls people's minds. Gwen: Ben was little when that all happened and he didn't even know he was doing that when we first met Sublimino. Batman: Maybe Gwen, but then again there's the fact that he wanted to kill Kevin when he became that amalgam of Ben's alien forms. He was so bent on his destruction because he honestly thought that there was no possible way of saving Kevin. That's something I am never going to over look Gwen and you should know if he ever tries that again, I will make sure that thing is ripped off his wrist and he's personally behind bars. Gwen: I think I get what you're going at Batman. I want to tell you personally that I didn't go a long with Ben wanting to kill Kevin. I even fought Ben over it and went to Michael Morningstar for help. I know you also couldn't trust Kevin for his criminal past, but will you trust me? I'll do what ever it takes to gain your trust and maybe even find out who you are. I think Ben knows as he has that "I know some thing you don't know" expression and he seems to be boasting about it. Batman actually smiles and chuckles. Batman: Hmm, you've noticed that to Gwen? She has indeed but on a more serious note, Albedo cannot track the Mad Hatter through the mind control chip. Albedo: I cannot understand it! How can this pathetic human technology be untraceable?! Batman: The Mad Hatter is much smarter than what he'd lead some to believe. Albedo: Apparently Batman. Then how are we suppose to find him then, if we can't trace a signal from his mind control chip? Gwen: I have an idea. Batman: What is it? Gwen: Maybe I can track the Mad Hatter's mana by tapping into the residual mana print inside Albedo's mind? Batman: What do you mean mana? Ben: It's an Anodite thing. You'll get use to it eventually. Albedo: There is no way I am letting you inside my mind. Have you even attempted something as foolish and irrational as this? Gwen: Well no, but what other choice do we have? You both want to find the Mad Hatter right? Batman can get him back to Arkham Asylum and you can get your revenge Albedo. Albedo: (Sigh) Very well Gwen. Proceed. Gwen puts her hands on Albedo's head and concentrates as hard as she can to find what she needs. As she mentioned, this is something she has never attempted, but that isn't going to stop her. In fact it looks like she may have found some thing. Gwen: I have it. It's a mana signature I don't recognize, but I can track it. Batman: Good work Gwen. Let's go. We're taking Albedo with us as well. We can use their connection to lower Mad Hatter's guard and then swoop in and take him. Ben: Sounds like a plan to me. I'll get Kevin and we'll follow you in Kevin's car. Gwen'll ride with Batman and Albedo can ride with us, so we can keep an eye on him. Albedo: What Tennyson? Do you not trust me? Ben: Not in a million years Albedo. Anyway let's get moving. They get in the cars with the Batmobile in the lead as Gwen is indeed riding in it and like Ben finds the car very impressive. However there is no time to think about that now as they push off. As they move along Kevin has to ask why Gwen couldn't ride with them. Ben: Kevin, you're not jealous of Batman are you? Kevin: What?! Of course not. Why would I? Albedo: Oh I don't know Kevin. Maybe it's because that since he has been here, Gwen has been defending him and attempting to befriend him. Kevin: Nobody asked you Albedo. Albedo: Whatever. In the Batmobile. Gwen: We're getting closer. I can feel the mana signature is getting stronger. Turn right here. Batman makes a quick right turn. Kevin: Is this guy nuts?! Who drives like that?! Ben/Albedo: You do. They are getting closer and by now Gwen can deduce where they are going. It's an old observatory that was abandoned years ago. They've arrived now finally. Batman: Remember the plan Albedo. Go in and lower the Hatter's guard, then we'll strike. Albedo: I know, I know, I'm not an imbecile. He begins to walk up towards the observatory where he opens the door. There he sees the Mad Hatter face to face. Mad Hatter: Ah there you are my little puppet. You're late to my tea party Albedo. Tisk, tisk, tisk. What am I going to do with you. You're just like Alice, so rebellious and can only be swayed with psychoactive control. Albedo: Not anymore Mad Hatter. I'm finally free of your influence and I'm going to enjoy destroying you. Mad Hatter: My, my you are difficult aren't you Albedo. I knew your advanced alien intellect might prove difficult for my mind control chip. However I had no idea that my control would last this long. Who helped you? Ben: That would be us. So you're the Mad Hatter right? Funny you don't look like a big threat. Mad Hatter: So you must be the infamous Ben Tennyson aye my boy? I could say the same of you. Ben: Yeah and I'm going to show you how wrong you are! Mad Hatter: You're reputation is most impressive young man, but you are not the Batman. Taking care of you will be child's play. Batman: Then you won't be disappointed then with me Jervis? Mad Hatter: Batman? Here in Bellwood? And so soon I must add. I was hoping to keep you off my trail a bit longer, but I was not successful. The Mad Hatter finishes sipping his cup of tea. Kevin: So then are we going to drink tea, or are we going to fight? Mad Hatter: Fight my boy? That is beneath me. Like the Red Queen, I have pawns that do my bidding. With a snap of his fingers, the Mad Hatter summons his pawns which turn out to be Helen, Manny, Alan, Pierce, and Cooper. Mad Hatter: When I first came to Bellwood I knew that I would need players in my inevitable confrontation with you Ben, so I had to find some recruits. Batman: How did you gain control of them Jervis? What do they have to do with all this? Mad Hatter: Oh my dear delusional Dark Knight they don't mean anything to me except the boy genius Cooper. I heard of his brilliance and made it my mission to track him down. He could improve my mind control chips and build me the equipment I need to turn Bellwood into my new Wonder Land. All I needed was the technology and here it is. Mad Hatter pulls out a gun like device and fires it at them, but Batman gets out of the way and manages to get Albedo and Gwen away from it as well. Ben and Kevin aren't given the chance to dodge. However both don't really see the danger of Mad Hatter's gun as it seemed to only spray dust. Mad Hatter: It isn't dust dear lad, they're microscopic control chips that are now running through your system. With my new hat, your thoughts are mine and I want you all to destroy Batman, Gwen, and that party crasher Albedo. Both Ben and Kevin try to resist but unfortunately they can not resist the Mad Hatter's will. So they give in and they along with Manny, Pierce, Helen, and Alan go in to kill them. Gwen: Great so what do we do now? Batman: Get the Mad Hatter's hat! With it destroyed, his hold over them will end. Albedo: Very well then. I'll destroy him for you and that'll be one less villain you have to deal with. Batman: Do that Albedo and I'll go back on our deal. I'm not a murderer. Albedo: Then I guess I have no choice. Our deal is over with. The Mad Hatter is not going to live another day of his miserable life. Albedo transforms into Jetray where he uses his eye beams to attack the opposing forces and flies up then to kill the Mad Hatter. Batman then takes his grapnel and uses it to capture Albedo's foot and with his powerful and muscular arms slams Albedo into a wall which takes him out effortlessly. However Ben then decides to transform into Lodestar. Ben: Protect the Mad Hatter! His tea party cannot be disturbed. Especially since it's on my unbirthday. Kevin: What a coincidence, it's my unbirthday too. Manny/Alan/Helen/Pierce: Ours too. Mad Hatter: Then we must celebrate then, my children. I'll throw a big party with Batman and Gwen as the party favors. Batman tosses a batarang at Ben as he is unaware of Lodestar's ability to create magnetic fields. Ben tosses it back at Batman but he back flips which cause the batarang to miss the target but Ben continues to use it as a method to kill Batman. So then Gwen tosses a mana blast which destroys it. Batman has to thank Gwen for that but there's no time to celebrate small victories. As Alan who is a Pyronite hybrid unleashes fire upon Batman but ever the prepared, Batman uses his flame retardant cape to protect himself. Batman then tosses a projectile at Alan which encases him in foam that puts out fires. He's helpless now and so the Batman takes Alan by his white tank top and then throws him at Pierce, effectively taking them both out. Ben then transforms into Chromastone as his alien's ability is to absorb energy and redirect at the source. Both he and Kevin gang up on Gwen. Gwen: Ben, Kevin, please don't make me hurt you. Ben: Sorry Gwen, but you know that as Chromastone your mana blasts can't hurt me. You might as well give up. Kevin: What he said. Gwen knows her mana blasts can't work against Ben, but they can against Kevin, so even though Gwen does not want to do it, she has no choice. Gwen attacks Kevin with one of her mana blasts, which takes him out easily. Gwen though knows it won't work on Chromastone, so she uses her martial arts training. Gwen trips Ben by sweeping her legs under his and she then uses her hands to strike him in the chest. Helen and Manny come for Batman however he is prepared by tossing a small explosive right at Helen's feet which takes her out. Then Gwen and Batman take on Manny together with her using her mana powers to contain Manny's four arms and then Batman gives him one final kick in the face. Albedo finally wakes up and while Gwen and Batman aren't looking, he goes strait for Mad Hatter. Cooper attempts to defend him but Albedo becomes Rath and tosses him away. Then Rath grabs the Mad Hatter and pins him against the wall. Albedo: Let me tell you something Mad Hatter! Your controlling my mind is over and you're going to pay for making me steal for you! Mad Hatter: Surely my dear chap, we can settle our disagreement in a more gentleman fashion? Albedo: No, no we cannot. Albedo raises his fist that has a single claw on his hand but both Batman and Gwen hold it back with her mana powers and his grapnel. Albedo: Let me tell you something Batman! Why won't you let me sleigh this pitiful creature?! He deserves death for what he did to me and for the problems he has caused you! Batman: Maybe Albedo, but that isn't my call or anyone else's. I pledged that when I first donned my cape and cowl, I'd uphold the law and never break it. I'll never take a life Albedo and I'm not going to let scum like you do the same. Albedo grabs the Mad Hatter then tosses him away as he now wants to fight Batman. The two go head to head with Batman telling Gwen she needs to destroy the Mad Hatter's hat. So then she rips off his hat, tosses it in the air, and finally destroys it with a mana blast. Mad Hatter: No my hat! What have you done?! You've ruined my tea party. Mad Hatter's victims are finally coming out of it. Ben: What happened? Where am I? Gwen: You were under the Mad Hatter's control Ben and so was Kevin, Manny, Helen, Pierce, Alan, and Cooper. You all right though? We could use your help fighting Albedo. Ben: No problem. He becomes Echo Echo, then multiplies, and uses his sonic screams to subdue Albedo. As Wrath's species is very sensitive to loud noises. Albedo is down and the police have been contacted. The GCPD have come to round up Mad Hatter and the Plumbers take Albedo away. It's time for everyone to say their goodbyes as Batman is needed back in Gotham City now that this crisis is averted. Ben: Thanks for everything Batman and sorry I didn't take your warnings more seriously. Mad Hatter had a whole bunch of screw loose. Batman: Don't mention it Ben. I'm not needed here anymore. I have to return to Gotham. So he begins to take off by leaping into the Batmobile. Although before he leaves Gwen talks to him. Gwen: I want to say thank you Batman, for everything. I hope that if we do meet again, it's as allies. Batman then handles Gwen a device. Batman: Take this signal device Gwen. If you need me for anything, don't hesitate to ask. Gwen: Thank you Batman. I won't. Batman closes the hatch on his Batmobile and he drives off into the moon light and Gwen simply stands there to watch. THE END.
