| - The Pan-Tau-Ra Crisis was the name given to a series of events in 18 ABY; when a traitorous Kartanin prophet shook the Dominion to its core. In the beginning, he won disgraced nobles and traditionalists unhappy with the religious takeover of government to his cause. As a first step, they stole the just-completed dreadnaught Pan-Tau-Ra and launched multiple assassination and abduction attempts at galactic officials and Kartanin loyalists. On the world of Ancathra Prime he supported dissidents in overthrowing Dominion occupation, on Srana he sparked rebellions. The timing was perfect - Charon forces hit the Charnas System and Fuller; and both BSC and Jade Empire forces were dispatched to the Battle of Mon Calamari - leaving only the Kartanin Warfleet to deal with him, and they were preoccupied with a strenghening Leeran Navy, multiple rebellions and relief efforts at Charnas. Even for Fuller, they were only able to spare a token support. However, the truly dangerous portion of the crisis didn't last. A Jedi Negotiator managed to broker a temporary truce and even limited cooperation between kartanin and leeran forces, freeing up significant resources and greatly aiding in locating the traitor. The Pan-Tau-Ra was finally cornered within the Blood Worlds by a combined armada of both Dominion and Alliance warships. Despite support from exiled Kartanin, including several ships loyal to House Khan, victory seemed inevitable. Until the Charon arrived, and began bombarding the allied forces. Three asanatira and the Warmaster himself, not to mention two entire battlegroups, would have faced certain death had the Charon not inexplicably turned into plasma-spewing, flaming hulks. Later on credit for that would be given to Garret Granths actions at Dac, but for now, it was nothing but a miracle. After realizing the Charon were under the traitors control, most of his allies had already began to abandon him. After the Charon's defeat, they fled - even the Pan-Tau-Ra managed to barely escape into hyperspace, heavily damaged.
