Circa FY 1090, during the War of the Hundred Years, a southern noblewoman named Esmara Getare succeeded in conquering much of Illian and the Plains of Maredo before invading Andor from the south. Although Esmara's successes indicate the forces she brought into Andor must have been significant, they were defeated in battle with the Andoran army. Getare was captured and spent the final twelve years of her life as a 'guest' of Queen Telaisien. She died by assassination, for reasons unknown. Telaisien ruled for eighteen years (FY 1085 - 1103) and was succeeded by Queen Morrigan.
