Valmaceid (Japanese: 四霊封陣ヴァルマシード, Kanji translation: Four Spirits Seal Ranks, Romaji: varumashīdo) is a defensive spell belonging to white magic. When cast on armor, the spell grants the wearer strong protection against elemental (air, fire, earth and water) shamanistic spells. The spell's duration is somewhat brief, however, and each casting of Valmaceid requires expensive material components. Numerous sorcerers try to develop a more efficient variant, but no progress has been made so far.
