The Phorusracos, also known as the Big Bird or Ostrich, is an enemy from Final Fantasy II. It appears as a random encounter around the area where the Palamecian army keeps its Dreadnought after launching it from Bafsk; and near Mysidia. It does not present much of a threat, and can be eliminated quite easily with physical attacks and offensive spells. The enemy only appears on the world map, and once the Cyclone appears and the formations change, the Phorusracos can no longer be fought, making it a missable enemy for the Bestiary unless the player transverses through the Arcane Labyrinth.
