On the Belgian side of the tripoint, one can see the borders of the former neutral territory of Moresnet in the pavement. Between 1839 and 1919, this location was a quadripoint. Today it is still a quadripoint on municipal level, because the old border between Belgium and Moresnet is now the municipal border between Kelmis and Plombières.
Border marker nr. 193 of the Dutch-Prussian series is located on the actual tripoint. Nowadays border marker nr. 194 and up form the border between the Netherlands and the German "Bundesland" of North Rhine-Westphalia. At the same time this marker also bears number 1032 as part of the present Belgian-German border. Border marker nr. 1 of the Dutch-Belgian border is located 100 meters to the north on Dutch soil, as part of the "touristic" monument.
