Mita the Unmotivated is a Kappa that lives in Izumo. As being a Kappa, he is instructed to gather Shirikodama, a soul-like object extracted from humans, to bring back to his friends. Though he is instructed to attack a human, he doesn't have the skill or want to attack them for it. He doesn't want to come home empty either, so he instead attempts to find one lying around somewhere. A passing Oni, the player, helps him find one, and Mita the Unmotivated is able to return home with a Shirikodama in hand.

abstract	Mita the Unmotivated is a Kappa that lives in Izumo. As being a Kappa, he is instructed to gather Shirikodama, a soul-like object extracted from humans, to bring back to his friends. Though he is instructed to attack a human, he doesn't have the skill or want to attack them for it. He doesn't want to come home empty either, so he instead attempts to find one lying around somewhere. A passing Oni, the player, helps him find one, and Mita the Unmotivated is able to return home with a Shirikodama in hand. Though his family and friends are happy with him, he does not want to hurt humans and would rather live with them peacefully. He does not know many other Kappa who live with humans, but he knows they are out there. He decides to ask the player to introduce him to any that have been living with humans peacefully. The player returns quickly to inform Mita of Kappei the Kappa who lives in Kyoto, and is more than willing to answer any questions Mita has for him on the subject of living with humans.
