His Honour Richard Owen Roberts (3 September 1876 – 12 September 1929) was a judge and local politician. Born on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, he was educated at Holborn Estate Grammar School and King’s College London. He was called to the bar at the Middle Temple in 1902. Active in Conservative politics, in 1910 and 1923 he unsuccessfully sought election as MP for Anglesey. In 1924 he was appointed a County Court Judge for Chester and North Wales Circuit, holding the office until his death.
