Bardas Maleinos, 40th Duke of Cappadochia, KP Megas Domestikos (25 December 1769 – 20 April 1846) was the son of Kostas Maleinos (1732–1806), a descendant of the Maleinos family, one of Diadochia's most prominent families. Bardas Maleinos succeeded to the title of Duke of Cappadochia in 1819 upon the death of his cousin Karolos Maleinos, 39th Duke of Cappadochia. In 1838, the Duke of Cappadochia was invested by King George VII into the Order of the Panagia. He died in 1846 at the age of 76. Upon his death, his only son, Eric Maleinos, became the 41st Duke of Cappadochia
