| - The new Doctor would incidentally become the most popular of them all and have the best viewing figures. He traveled around with three key companions; the extremely popular one who continued her run on from the previous Doctor and ended up returning years after leaving, the extremely capable and badass one who achieved many great things but finds herself getting overlooked by the fandom, and the extremely sassy one who has Time Lord biology and wore a fluffy coat at one point. He had a hinted romantic relationship with his blonde assistant, who ended up leaving the show via a departure to another universe. There were many villains including creepy robots, blood-suckers, shapeshifters, and servants who's eyes conveniently turn red when possessed. Key events in this era would include the Doctor having the chance to destroy the Daleks forever and not taking it, the Doctor being aged dramatically, and the sassy companion undergoing a complete change in an episode involving Davros, His final episode would see him falling from a great height and being visited by a mysterious creature continually watching him in the background before he departed. The new guy was the youngest actor to ever play the Doctor. He traveled around with a moany cow who wore miniskirts and had a distinctive accent, and also a well-meaning dunce who's most iconic trait is the fact that he died. In this era, there was an episode set on a spaceship that was honestly really boring, and another episode focused on the moany cow set inside a dream sequence with a villain taunting her. There was a notable plot point during this Doctor's second season where he was being stalked by a mysterious humanoid in black clothing, who aimed to see him dead by setting an assassin into him but this plan backfired when the assassin ended up becoming chummy with the Doctor. This Doctor would be accompanied into his final episode by a woman who a lot of the fanbase find hot while others find her bland and irritating. The Doctor then regenerates into an arsehole who does something very controversial in his first episode. The hot bland irritating companion has trouble trusting him because of this, but eventually gets reassured by an "I am the Doctor" moment. This Doctor's second series would see him unwillingly returned to the Time Lords as the hot bland irritating companion is killed off but then un-killed off in an incredibly bullshit way. The Doctor then proceeds to travel with a woman who has curly hair, an upbeat personality, an obsession for a certain lifestyle and is an expert at making a certain type of consumable. Some adventures during this Doctor's era include a heavily polarizing episode with a socially relevant theme, a story where the Master and a Time Lady team up to kick his ass, an adventure about plants that was unanimously negatively received by fans, an episode where the Doctor is apparently evil now, and most notably a non-anniversary multi-Doctor story involving two incarnations that was created as a last ditch attempt to placate the long time fans who were getting fed up with the program. Around about this time the show would go on hiatus and the then-current showruiner would get lambasted for his weak attempts to hold it all together, as well as his decision to market more towards Americans. Additionally, a significant member of the crew would leave and end up talking shit about the showruiner in question, and one of the actors to previously play the Doctor died. Bit of a rough ride, eh? Well it all worked out in the end as after a bit of a break, Doctor Who returned with a brand new more modernized era in 2005, starring a straight-faced action orientated Doctor and a companion described as being a departure from the show's previous sexist ways. The focus of the show became more Earth-centered than before, and the first story featured the new Doctor and assistant battling the Autons and the Nestene Consciousness.
