(TOS: "Obsession") Captain Garrovick ("Steve" to his friends and colleagues) was an excellent role model and mentor to the members of his crew (including a young Lieutenant named James T. Kirk). He was also an inspiration to the members of his family. Both his son, Steven and his nephew, Quince, eventually joined Starfleet when they came of age, following in his footsteps.
