With the threat of the Sith Empire looming over them the Anari Commonwealth invited the Antarian Rangers into their boarders to act as a police force outside the main political body but answerable to the courts. Together the two contacted Kuat Drive Yards with the intent of creating a new aged ship for their use. Looking at the requirements Kuati engineers developed a cutting edge ship. First the body was created, two arms to carry fighters around a main command and control hub. This allowed the vessel to field more fighters and directly linked to the shield innovation. Based on the concept of a cloakshape fighter modified by it's owner Kuati engineers decided that instead of placing several powerful shield generators to cover the entire ship they would create a relay of a dozen or more lesser shield generators in an overlapping pattern to support the main generator. This design had two advantages, price not being one of them. First it allowed for a quick recharging and regenerating shield , as one layer is overcome by enemy fire another will pop up as the first recharges. Secondly in a prolonged combat the ship could lose multiple shield generators and still produce a shield with enough strength to ward off attacks. Advanced engines provided the ship with enough speed to catch corvettes and other small vessels, and finally Kuati engineers added the weapons. In addition to the expected weapons was added several incredibly large turbolasers and Ion cannons, normally more suited to a larger ship design. These weapons gave the vessel a punch worth noting in a direct combat role.
