The RGT220H features neck-through-body construction. It replaced the RGT2020 with some minor changes, including a new five-piece maple and wenge neck (instead of maple and bubinga). All neck-through RG models got this new neck in 2005, including the new RGT220A and RGT320Q. The RGT220H features mahogany body wings attached to the aforementioned neck which has a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio/ Ibanez humbucking pickups, an Edge Pro tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
