The Creation of Hyrule is an event from the Legend of Zelda series. Likely the largest single event in all of the Legend of Zelda mythos, the Creation of Hyrule, as its name implies, is when the three Golden Goddesses descended upon the chaos that was Hyrule, and created the world. First mentioned in the prologue for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the Creation of Hyrule is explained more in depth by the Great Deku Tree in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Also, in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Lanayru explains to Link about the Creation of Hyrule and the Fused Shadows.

According to legend, when all was chaos, three goddesses, Din, Farore and Nayru, descended from a Distant Nebula and began creation of what would become the world. Din "cultivated the land and created the red earth". Nayru "poured her wisdom onto the earth and gave the spirit of law to the world". Farore "produced all life forms who would uphold the law". With their work completed, the Golden Goddesses ascended to the heavens, and the mythical Triforce, an object capable of granting any wish, was hidden in the Sacred Realm, waiting for someone to find it and bring complete prosperity or ultimate destruction to the world. In Twilight Princess, Lanaryu shows the Creation of Hyrule to Link, like in Ocarina of Time, but also reveals that after the Creation of Hyrule, the Interlopers tried to control the Triforce using the Fused Shadows, causing the Hyrulean Civil War.
