Yugoslavia, officially the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbo-Croation Cyrillic: Федеративна Република Југославија, Serbo-Croation Latin: Federativna Republika Jugoslavija), is a country in Southeast Europe. Yugoslavia borders Hungary and Germany to the north; Romania and Bulgaria to the east; Greece to the south; and Italy, and Albania to the west; Yugoslavia's Adriatic Sea coast contains more than a thousand islands. The capital of Yugoslavia, Belgrade, is among Europe's oldest cities and Zagreb one of the largest in Southeast Europe.
