Nitep Guson (September 10th, 2419 - June 18th, 2503) was a member of the Redemption Party and was the Prime Minister of the Free Republic of Lourenne. Born to wealthy parents in Erignac, Alvium, Guson attended school until the age of sixteen, when he graduated and went to Aures, Alvium to work for Bennie Hutton as a political activist. In 2438, when Hutton became President, Guson served as his assistant, in fact acting as Hutton's representative in most matters of domestic, inter-party diplomacy. He died in his sleep, aged 83 in July 2403.

abstract	Nitep Guson (September 10th, 2419 - June 18th, 2503) was a member of the Redemption Party and was the Prime Minister of the Free Republic of Lourenne. Born to wealthy parents in Erignac, Alvium, Guson attended school until the age of sixteen, when he graduated and went to Aures, Alvium to work for Bennie Hutton as a political activist. In 2438, when Hutton became President, Guson served as his assistant, in fact acting as Hutton's representative in most matters of domestic, inter-party diplomacy. In 2442, Guson misread parts of the election results and falsely concluded that the Technocratic Party had launched a smear campaign against the Redemption Party in southern Haboves (in fact, Hutton had received the Technocratic endorsement late in the race). Guson was undiplomatic and accused the Technocrats directly; Hutton demoted Guson for this mistake, although the Technocratic Party dissolved shortly thereafter, so the incident had no lasting political effect. Guson became a Lourennian Senator in 2446, winning reelection in 2450, when only four Redemption Party senators remained in Parliament. During the early fifties, he took a less active role in the legislature than Senator Stefan Tepeu, although he served until 2466, when he retired from the legislature to become the Redemption Party Chairman. His term as Chairman was short, since he was appointed to the position of Prime Minister in December of 2467. Guson was replaced in August of 2474, taking up the role of Redemption Party Whip. He died in his sleep, aged 83 in July 2403.
