| - Sheryl Crow performs the main theme, "Tomorrow Never Dies", and the end titles feature k.d. lang singing "Surrender," a bold, classic-style James Bond theme song. Both songs feature the phrase "tomorrow never dies" in their chorus, making this the only film with two, legitimate theme songs. "Surrender" was originally intended to be the film's main title track, and it's melody is woven into Arnold's score throughout the movie, but it was relegated to the end credits at the last minute in favor of Crow's theme.

Owing to the hectic scoring schedule, only around half of Arnold's score was ready when the official soundtrack was released, and consequently the album featured no music from the film's final third, which includes all of Arnold's Eastern-flavoured themes. Owing to demand, a second soundtrack was released three years later, featuring score music from the entire film but lacking the two theme songs, Moby's "James Bond Theme" remix and the track "Station Break". The second album did, however, include an interview with David Arnold. The two separate releases also make Tomorrow Never Dies the only Bond film to have two separate soundtracks.
