Cfwqaliodus , also known as the Giant African bear, is an extinct mammal that was native to Africa. When it was alive, it hunted hippopatamuses, rhinos, monkeys, giraffes, cape buffaloes, and rarely elephants. It competed with lions, hyenas, and jackals for prey items. It was the largest recent extinct mammal carnivore on earth, about the size of a black rhinoceros. It was a species of bear very closely related to a more recent Atlas brown bear. It once lived in savannahs and grasslands when it roamed Africa. They resembled a cross between a short-faced bear and a polar bear, but was dark brown. Unlike any bear alive today, it is belived that it hunted in packs, as their cranium on their skull suggests, which could explain why there are bear bite marks on fossilized elephant bones, as larg

Unlike any bear alive today, it is belived that it hunted in packs, as their cranium on their skull suggests, which could explain why there are bear bite marks on fossilized elephant bones, as larger pack hunters are more likely hunt larger creatures. It is unknown why it became extinct, maybe due to climate change or it was driven to extinction by Bass.EXEs and/or Elecman.EXEs.
