Gargoyles was an animated Disney cartoon that ran in the mid-1990s, and followed the adventures of six noble beings known as gargoyles, who are stone statues by day, becoming flesh and blood when the sun goes down. The gargoyles lived peacefully as pagan idols in Scotland until lost in the court battle Scots v. Vikings. After living in a castle in the late tenth century they were put under a spell of sleep and brought to the Vatican to complement the Greco-Roman gods in the bathrooms. The gargoyles were than stolen in the early nineties by Carmen Sandiego and sold at auction to David Xanatos along with her fleet of UNESCO site stealing helicopters.

  • Gargoyles is a dark epic fantasy film that is a adaption of the critically acclaimed tv series by Greg weisman. it was announced that Steven irizarry approached disney for the job. production began with steven looking for a suitable scriptwriter but is forced to do it himself. the movies feel was also discussed with steven wanting a more unique visual style that ignored underworld which he feared it would look like. the movie was filmed and the comic con panal was lively with its subsequent trailers being praised. the movie had suprising hype and was released to critical accailm with critics praising its emulating of the shows style while expanding on them, acting and its departure from cliche underworld antics. fans also praised its visual style but also a bit worried about some changes.

Außerdem wurden bei Restaurationen zum Teil sogar Rätsel gelöst, und Mysterien aufzuklären hatte ich schon von Kindheit an vergöttert. All diese Geschichten - Legende oder Wahrheit. Mir war egal, worum es ging - Gräber, alte Schlösser oder verschollene Gemälde - hauptsache geheimnisvoll.
