- Kyle Merritt McLachlan is an American actor probably best known as Special Agent Dale Cooper on Twin Peaks. His association with David Lynch stretches back further to the 1984 film version of the SF classic Dune by Frank Herbert. Kyle was also "The Captain" on How I Met Your Mother, Orson Hodge on Desperate Housewives and Trey McDougal on Sex and the City. On Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. he portrays the supra-human and frequently inhumane Calvin Zabo.
